Could you draw a strip cartoon that tells a funny story? The Bath Comedy Festival is inviting children to submit entries for their first cartoon-drawing competition with a chance to win prizes!
Our guest cartoonist, Harry Venning will show you how to transform a blank piece of paper into a riot of laughs, an explosion of adventure and a gobsmack of disbelief. Here are some of the important bits: The strip cartoons must be designed to fit an A4 horizontal sheet of paper, they can be designed in black and white or colour, and only one entry can be submitted per child. Now watch this short video by Harry Venning for tips to get you started!
The cartoon competition is part of Junior Jokers, a programme of events and workshops for young people funded by the Roper Family Charitable Trust. Programmed by the Bath Institute of Laughter which is a Making Theatre Gaining Skills project.
